    Hey Jojakim –

We don’t have this built in as a setting to the plugin, but that shouldn’t matter.

The standard date functions will pull the current locale from your PHP setup, so if you have your server configured to the right locale then the dates should come through correctly.

What locale would you want it set to? I can try a few things on my end to see if there is a quick script you can drop in your functions.php file inside your theme.

    Best,
    Richard

Dutch would be great.. only there are two options given. Not sure which is standard to web php.

    setlocale(LC_ALL, ‘nl_NL’);

    setlocale(LC_ALL, ‘nld_nld’);

    Thanks!

    Hello!

I configured IK to show only events and it is fine. Just the date appears in english. I have configured WP to Brazilian Portuguese and in the date format used in Brazil. However, the feed shows the Fb event’s date in english.

How to solve this? If possible i would like to have control over the date… not showing year and simplifying the time…

    Thanks a lot

    Hey arunki!

You should be able to format the time, already, but there is a chance that setting doesn’t affect the event formatting.

On the Display Options tab, look for “Date Format” — that shoudl allow you to remove the Year and simplify the time.

I will look into the rest of the date not translating correctly.

    Thanks!

    Hello, Richard!

    Thanks for the rapid response.

I was there but afraid of inserting anything in the field, as warned below. I even looked for some info at PHP page, but the rabbit hole is much deeper.

    So, thanks. Waiting.

    Dear Richard,

I am still anxiously waiting for your response on the date issue, that still appears in english and also, the ‘read more’ link, should be in Brazilian and one more thing is to be able to set the size of picture thatidentifies the event.

Please would you help me on these topics?

Thank you so much! The IK is so nice, i would not like to change if all is working 🙂

    All the best

    Hey Arunki!

    1) Date Issue: this should be resolved with our next release,
    2) Good to know — the “read more” link doesn’t translate for you? Have you made a translation file, yet, and that isn’t working?
    3) Event Picture Size: let me check on this for you – this is something we’ve looked into but I know we are somewhat limited by the sizes FB makes available via the graph API.

    Best,
    Richard

    Hello, Richard!! Thank you!

    1) Date Issue: this should be resolved with our next release,

Ohhh… 🙁 unhappy only cause there is no prevision… i was expecting that you should tell me %f %r and then my brazilian date would appear 🙂

    2) Good to know — the “read more” link doesn’t translate for you? Have you made a translation file, yet, and that isn’t working?

No, i haven’t made any translation file… but if instructed, shouldn’t be difficult to write ‘Leia mais’ there 🙂

    3) Event Picture Size: let me check on this for you – this is something we’ve looked into but I know we are somewhat limited by the sizes FB makes available via the graph API.

Ok… this is my website: http://www.arun.com.br… the pics are so tiny… you can have and see that i iam using a Kanso platform… ok

Once again, thanks, and congratulations for your work.
