    @vero44 – There is no current method to do what you are describing but it is an interesting idea … I do hope you will share the solution if you find one.

    Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me where the code is found that is invoked by the ‘Set as featured image’ link in the gallery popup please?

    That is in nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/lib/post-thumbnail.php in method ajax_set_post_thumbnail()
