Support » Fixing WordPress » Set Display Limit on Menus

I am trying to set a limit on the number of items to display/pull from the built-in “menus” (wp_nav_menu) option. I want to display the first 5 menu items on the homepage only, but display the rest of the menu on a separate archive page. The menu items will change frequently and may need to change order, so I don’t think a CSS work-around is an option.

I was originally using the “links” (wp_list_bookmarks), but I was having issues with the ordering process (and I don’t want to use a plugin such as My Link Order). Basically, I would like the limit=5 on the homepage and limit=-1 on the archive page using the wp_nav_menu.

    Any ideas?
