Set attachment_id with custom image field instead of URL in database

    I have added custom image field named Secondary Image to my posts. Now, when i go to add post page, it display input box against Secondary image label. And besides it Select Image button. But if user enter URL directly to input box then image won’t be added to media library. But it need to be added.

    In short, i won’t secondary featured image using custom image field type. Also in database, it should store attachment_id instead of image url.

    Is this functionality available in plugin or are you going to add it in future ?

    Hi malkesh,

    It is possible, please try goto your WP admin side, Types-> Settings,

    Enable option “Allow resizing of remote images ”
