Set Affiliate/External as defaullt product

    Hi all! How can I set Affiliate/External as default for all products when I add a new one? All products in my store are Affiliate products and it’s very laggy do the same thing every time I add new.

    There is not a setting in WooCommerce that would make that the default product type when making a new product. The default will always be “Simple Product” as that is the first product type option.

    You can specify the product type as External when importing products. So you may find it more helpful to import all your products by CSV.

    Thanks for the response.
    Maybe using a filter in functions or something similar can be changed the order of the product type option?

    You certainly could do this with some custom coding on your site if you wanted to go that route. Our team isn’t able to provide support for customizations, however if you want to explore that there are a few options for you.

    First, if you are comfortable writing code yourself you could join our WooCommerce Developer Slack.

    Otherwise, if you’d prefer to hire someone to do this I would recommend checking a site such as http://www.codeable.io
