I am currently working on converting my old Web site into a WordPress site. I have had very little trouble doing so, but I’ve come across a minor issue that I’d like to see resolved, if possible.
I am working on developing a major new section (e-magazine archive) of the Web site. I want that section (a WordPress page) to be scheduled to appear on the site on a specific date. That page will have close to 200 sub-pages (individual issues of the magazine) once I finish plugging everything into the WP installation.
Unfortunately, since the main page is “scheduled,” it’s not available to be specified as the parent of the individual sub-pages.
Is there any way around this? I would like to go ahead and unveil the new Web site, but since I’m only about 10% of the way done with the magazine archive, and currently have to keep that page published in order to set it as the parent of the new sub-pages, I can’t unveil the new site until I’ve finished posting all of those new sub-pages.
I hope I am making sense.
Basically, my question is:
Is there any way to schedule a page for future publishing, then set it as the parent page of other scheduled pages? Thank you.
