Greetings Guys!

My website uses “featured image”, but I don’t want to use it as a OG Image. Instead, I need to have a default image for it.

Any help?

I was able to do it!

add_filter( ‘wpseo_opengraph_image’, ‘yoast_seo_default_opengraph_change’ );

function yoast_seo_default_opengraph_change($url) {
$url = ‘http://myblog.com/wp-content/uploads/default_image.jpg’;
return $url;
}

Hi @andreranulfo

We’re glad to hear you were able to find a suitable filter to bypass the ‘featured image’ for your open graph image.

By default, the og:image tag will use the specific image set under the Social tab in the Yoast SEO meta box when editing that post or page, and will then use a set of fallback images – https://developer.yoast.com/features/opengraph/functional-specification/#conditional-tags
