    Hi,

I noticed when a User denies using Cookies, that Woocommerce is not working correctly anymore. I can add a product in the Cart, but the “Continue to Checkout”-Button has no effect anymore and I cannot go to the Checkout.

So far I understand, Woocommerce uses PHP Sessions by GET Parameters when Cookies are not available. I am wrong?

Is their a way to operate Woocommerce without the need of Cookies?

    Hello Frank,

That’s a great question. Cookies are required for the WooCommerce cart/checkout to work. When they are disabled, it’s not possible to check out.

Someone in the community made a handy plugin that detects when cookies are disabled and then gives the user a notice stating they are required to shop.

You might take a look at that and see if it could help out your site if you’re running into customers with cookies disabled. They will have to enable cookies before making a purchase.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

That would be a good way to go around it, but sadly the plugin did not work for me. I tried it with activating on all pages and using the shortcode. I tested it with Firefox and Safari (Blocking all Cookies). No Warning show up. Using WordPress 5.3.2 and WooCommerce 3.9.1

Thanks for letting us know. I would try troubleshooting by disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce and the Cookie Check plugin and using the Twenty Nineteen theme. If it still won’t work, then I would reach out to the plugin’s author:

Let them know you’ve tried troubleshooting and see if they have a solution for you.
