 * I am setting this up for my site and notice that the media files are being served
from objects.us-west-1.dream.io instead of from objects.cdn.dream.io. My site
is using https, and all options are checked in the DreamSpeed plugin settings.
 * Is there a specific reason for this? I seem to understand from earlier threads
that there was something relating to https not working. Is it so that *.objects.
cdn.dream.io doesn’t work over https? It seems to for me, and I can’t see why
there would be something wrong with the cert (unless it has something to do with
   wildcard certs, which would suck).
 * Anyway, I’d really prefer to have the images loaded from the cdn instead of from
DreamObjects, as otherwise there isn’t much performance increase for me. Is there
   a way to do this?

 * And you nailed it on the head. In _THEORY_ it should work, but in reality it
doesn’t work for everyone. In fact, it worked for the minority of users. I’m
working on a way to make it work, or at least allow people who are clever enough
to check and validate those things, to override.
 * That said, you _are_ getting the performance bennies of not having your own server
   load the images.

 * Ah, that explains it perfectly then. I guess the only recourse is to pester DreamHost
to not use wildcard certs on DreamSpeed? The urls for DreamObjects already do
this (objects.us-west-1.drea.io/bucket), and it would be nice if they could do
that with the CDN as well (objects.cdn.dream.io/bucket), but that’s not really
your responsibility I guess. I’ll just have to live with it.
 * Thanks for clearing it up though!

 * The DreamObjects team is aware and has been yelling at our cohorts about this
   for … a while 🙁
 * I’ll point them here, though, to give them more fuel for the fire.
