# Service setting

 * First of all a big thank you for making this plugin available.
 * Simple question that keeps me puzzled:
 * VIES settings -> “This product is a service”.
 * We give live physical trainings to groups, obviously the normal local VAT counts(
   non B2B)
    But we also do online trainings where the whole VIES comes in to play.
 * Should I enable the above service setting to online products or the other way
   around? (we consider all our work ‘service’ so a bit confusing)

 * That option is just used to set the “Service” column to `true` or `false` when
   the VIES report is generated. It’s unrelated to the VAT MOSS regulations, and
   it doesn’t only affect digital products.
 * For VIES purposes, a product either falls under the category of services (intangible)
   or goods (tangible). I would recommend to ask your accountant which of the products
   you sell should be flagged as services.
