Service Boxes and Recent Posts not appearing on homepage

Hello,

I am trying to emulate the homepage demo of Ademos: http://www.templateexpress.com/adam/

In Customize, I have Service Section Settings -> hide UNchecked, so it should be there, but it’s not. Same story with Recent Posts Section. I’ve tried a few things and can’t figure it out on my own. Any help is much appreciated!

I have front page set to Static, though I’ve tried latest posts as well and that’s not what I want.
