That sounds serious. Have you attempted to contact the plugin authors directly?

I’m not a user of this plugin (I use a different plugin) but if they are hosting your backup for you then you may want to contact them directly.

thanks for you reply Jan. I now contacted them as you proposed, I hope to have a solution from them asap.
Untill now I was always very satisfied with this plugin, but this problem causes a bad feeling. Can I ask what plugin you use for backup please?

By the way, this is a note mentionned in the help&support of this plugin:
“Please note, we are only able to provide technical support on the WordPress forum mentioned above, and not by email, telephone or the contact forms on our website.”
So I hope to get some answers here…
I am experiencing this problem too. The plugin complained it cannot send the backup file to the online vault because it cannot establish a connection to

Upon visiting the URL I realized it’s offline.

I strongly advice to make local backups from your website with this plugin, which is still possible…
As the authors of this plugin are not reacting on this urgent matter, it may be considerable to use another plugin to make online backups. For my bigger websites I use WordPress Backup to Dropbox, which is slower but works fine. Also, with this plugin you still have to backup your database manually…
If there are other backup plugins available who works good and fast and who make backup of filesystem AND database, I’m glad to hear it in this topic.
