    Hey @lawandmoore and @danutts,

Thanks for writing in with this error! I’d be happy to take a closer look to see what might be happening. We’ve seen similar issues from merchants before where the email notification included what parameter was invalid, or missing. Did you receive this in the email as well?

I’ll also need to look at the site, and view a product category to trigger the event and see what parameters the plugin has generated. Facebook has a useful Chrome extension called Pixel Helper that will help diagnose issues such as this.

Could you please let me know an example product category page on your site so I can help troubleshoot this further for you?

    Cheers!

    Simon.

Hello @simonskyverge. I have the same problem.
    What information do you need?
The Quality of Correspondence, from my pixel is very low.

    Hey @felipexa,

Thanks for following up. It would be a great help if I could see what parameters are being generated by the plugin for the ViewContent event. It should output the tracking event to the HTML, as well as in some cases, send a server to server event too.

To start with though, would it be possible to share an example of a URL that is having this issue so that I may take a look with the Chrome Pixel Helper?

    Cheers!

    Simon.

Any other information you need, I am available.

    Hey @felipexa,

Thanks for sharing that example. I’m not seeing either an ip address or user agent specifically sent in the event on-page, so I’d also like to take a look at the debug log for the plugin too. If this wasn’t enabled already, you would need to navigate to WooCommerce > Facebook and enable debug logging from the Connections tab. We can then trigger the event to be logged by visiting the example URL you’ve provided and check the logs for any server to server events being processed.

If you’d prefer to share this privately with us, as some of the logging may contain sensitive information, please could you raise a support request via our support form so that I could reply directly?

    Cheers!

    Thanks for listening.
I opened the support ticket with the log information.

Hey there @mortenz, sure thing! I can circle back here with our findings for you. Thanks for your interest!

Thanks @felipexa, I’ve seen it in the queue and have picked it up so we can carry on with the investigation! I’ll reply there shortly.

    Cheers,

    Simon.

Is there any update on this error?

    Hi @mortenz,

After debugging with Felipe, we could not see a reason for this error to be displayed. We’ve passed on our findings to the Facebook team to get suggestions for why this might be shown, and are currently waiting for their feedback. As soon as I have this, and providing it gives us a way forward, I’ll circle back here to let you know.

    Cheers,

    Simon.

    Hi all,

    Hi @mortenz and @fcrowe,

We’ve had a reply back from Facebook regarding this issue, and they’ve mentioned:

… this problem seems to affect only ip_address and user_agent parameters for two specific events. As we’re not seeing this issue widespread across the platform and this problem is affecting only a small amount of events from this Pixel, the problem may be due to users having ad-ons to their browser to avoid submitting information to websites. I recommend reviewing Pixel Settings and the code on the website itself to check for any issue. If there are no issues in the parameters requested on the website and the code is correct, please run a test using the test event tool. The admins may go ahead and click Mark as Resolved to see if the issue persists.

It seems as though they suspect a browser add-on or extension could be blocking the user agent and ip address being sent to events manager by the pixel, and therefore this warning is being shown. They weren’t able to replicate the issue in their testing with a specific merchants pixel.

To be sure, if are you still seeing these errors in your events manager screen at the moment, could you please send over a screenshot of the most recent error as well as your Pixel ID? The pixel ID should be displayed on the events manager dashboard too.

    Cheers!

    Simon.

    Hi there,
My WooCommerce Facebook pixel lost connection all together – I guess it had been over a 5 days since it last communicated with FB. I tried deactivating the app, but no luck, so I had to re-install it. I now get this error when the app tries to link up to Facebook.

    Missing Required Information From Developer
There are missing information required to setup the connection correctly. Please reach out to the developer for more information.
