Server result code shows 404 error, but page displays

    I am using WordPress on a few pages of my existing site by declaring <?php require(‘./my_url/wp-blog-header.php’); ?> with a show of posts and the page displays fine.
    However, when checking the Server Response Codes it displays a 404 error, which I’m told doesn’t help in the SEO stakes.
    Any ideas what could be going on here?
