Server migrated IP's. Multiple WP plugin search issue

I recently moved my server to a new datacenter. After completing the migration I noticed that my wordpress install for one domain had an issue upgrading the wordpress version, searching for plugin, updating plugin.
After more digging, found its all wordpress installations. New or old, all seem to have this same issue.

An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

I’ve seen a couple threads but have not really found any solution. I’ve recreated .htaccess file and also tested out being able to ping the api.wordpress.com hostname.

Anyone else run into this kind of issue after a server move?
I’m running CPanel and CentOS. Would recompiling apache through cpanel be of any use?
