    Hi there,

I have a database with 24.000 images, so the plugin takes a long time to rename all those. Unfortunately, my server aborts the plugin after about 30-60 minutes, because the server doesn’t allow script to run that long.

Is it possible to set up a cron job somehow, to automatically trigger the renaming process every 30 minutes?

Or are there any other ways to complete the renaming process?

Do you need the references to this file to be renamed? If all your site is based on Media IDs instead of their Paths, then you don’t need the Update Reference option, and the renaming will be instant.

Or are there any other ways to complete the renaming process?

The only way would be to use WP-CLI (but those features are only in the Pro Version). But personally, I would try to look into renaming without updating the references (but make sure you have a backup first).

    Hi Jordy,

    Thanks for your reply.

As I don’t have the pro version, I guess this would be difficult.

In the meantime, I have renamed the media files in smaller batches and I am already halfway. I think I’ll just continue doing this, so I’ll be done within a few days.

    Thanks for your help!
