Server IP Shows in Address Bar and Lower Left Corner

I have a wordpress site that I have created for someone else. Since I already have a hosting package, I built it on my account on Ipower and pointed to it with a domain name on godaddy. That all works fine, the problem is the address bar in the lower right hand corner shows my url instead of the domain name from godaddy. Is there any way to turn that url address bar off? I tried to change the url in on the General page but that just cause my site to do some weird stuff.
