 * I’m just starting with WP and did a Fantastico install but first time in admin
I saw there was a version upgrade to 2.3.2 so I downloaded the new version, unzipped
it and uploaded it following instructions on WP. It appeared to install just
fine. I changed the theme and that went OK. Got rid if the Hello World post and
put in my own first post. So far so good. Went to install plugins and I see there
is a new version of Akismet, so following instructions I uploaded it and got
the key and it appeared to be OK. I uploaded another proprietary plugin and it
seemed to install OK. Went to post to a page and when I hit publish the whole
thing disappeared. I cannot log in or view anything at my site’s URI. I am getting
   server errors:
    Internal Server Error
 * The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to
   complete your request.
 * Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@_mysite_.com and inform them
of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have
   caused the error.
 * More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
 * Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying
to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/2.2.6 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.6
   OpenSSL/0.9.8g DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635
   Server at www._mysite_.com Port 80
 * but the error logs show no errors. I have written to the host, I came back to
WP and followed the list of “Try This” but still only get server errors when
I type in the URI either for the site or the admin login. I renamed both plugins
in case one of them was the problem. I really would like to use WP but I am very
tempted to stick with HTML that I know inside and out. I read as much as I could
over the past two weeks regarding setting up WP so I felt comfortable in getting
   started but not anymore.

 * Installing the new version over an existing version caused duplicate folders
to be created. I couldn’t log in but did resolve it via ftp.
