Server Error (4 posts)

I'm new to this whole thing and still trying to get the hang of it all. In my ignorance, I copied a line of code I had read about into my header.php file. Now, whenever I try to go to the site, or even log-in to the admin, I get the following error:

    "Server Error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www._____________.com/wp-admin/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly."

Really not sure what to do, since I can't even log-in to the admin page to try and fix it. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

Use FTP to undo the edit, or replace the whole file with a good copy. See Filezilla and FTP Clients « WordPress Codex.

So what does using FTP do?

As songdogtech mentioned, using FTP, you can access the file you were editing and either undo the edit you made, or simply replace the file with a backup copy so you can start over. You can also usually do the same thing using the file manager in your hosting account control panel.
