Can anyone help with a serious Server crash?

I use Windows 2003 Advanced Server with SP1, and IIS 6 with the PHP 4.3.11 Isapi interface, as well as mySQL 4.1.11 (which is on the same machine).

The installation went well, and the blog DOES run the home page. However, when I log in as the Admin, and the blog brings you to the Dashboard, I experience severe trouble.

The Dashboard page looks like it has mostly loaded correctly, but then my entire web server freezes completely. It then refuses to serve up any more pages in the blog, and all the other websites that share the server also stop functioning. The server itself seems to bog down, and opening windows or even the task manager becomes a problem.

I’ve never seen a PHP + mySQL application completely disable a web server before. Can anyone offer any help on why this would happen?

Instead of landing on the Dashboard, once you reach the messed up dashboard page, type in the edit.php to get to another admin screen and see if you can work from there for now until you resolve the issue of the dashboard. If that doesn’t work, you have a bigger problem than the dashboard page.
