  • I’ve uploaded a Perl script to go with an article about Bluetooth synchronization. Now if anyone tries to download the script, the server will attempt to execute it instead of download it! So I end up getting the following error:

    Internal Server Error
    Could not execute script “[…]/conv.pl”

Shouldn’t WordPress tell the server somehow to treat all files in “upload/” as downloads?

  • If they’re accessed via a browser, I’d assume they’d be executed rather than downloaded.

You might try zipping them before upload.

and NEVER NEVER but NEVER allow an upload directory to be executeable!
