  • Resolved karlingersoll

    (@karlingersoll)

When I attempt to post a sermon, I get the following message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getTimeStamp() on a non-object in /home/content/85/8900485/html/morninggate/wp-content/plugins/sermon-manager-for-wordpress/includes/CMB2/includes/CMB2_Utils.php on line 318

I am running version 2.0 of the plug in.

    Need some help ….

  • I receive the same error message.

    1. In sermon details, I do set a date using the calendar.

    2. However, after receiving the noted error message, when you visit “Sermons>Sermons” the sermons are listed, and in the “Date Preached” column it shows the following error:

Warning: date() expects parameter 2 to be long, string given in /home/removed/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sermon-manager-for-wordpress/includes/template-tags.php on line 224

So there appears to be a problem with the date.

Using Version 2.0.0. Have never used prior versions.

Since none of the sermons actually are visible, have disabled plugin for now.

@karlingersoll & @leegoodman – This should be resolved now in version 2.0.1. Please let me know if it’s not working for you!

I am getting the same error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getTimeStamp() on a non-object in /home/content/95/8995295/html/websites/newelam/wp-content/plugins/sermon-manager-for-wordpress/includes/CMB2/includes/CMB2_Utils.php on line 318

    I am running 2.0.2

Thank you for any help you can provide!

The error message remains the same in 2.0.2

I am having the same problem. Tried combinations of changing names of files and dates, but it is still not working.

    The error remains in 2.03

I now have version 2.0.4 and still get the exact same error message listed by karlingersoll when posting a new sermon. When I look at the list of sermons, this error is listed in the Date Preached column:

Warning: date() expects parameter 2 to be long, string given in /home/content/c/o/c/cocwestside/html/wp-content/plugins/sermon-manager-for-wordpress/includes/template-tags.php on line 217

I have disabled the plugin while waiting for a fix. Thanks.

Any change in this issue? I have version 2.05 and I’m still seeing this issue.

We are aiming to get to that issue today! I will definitely post an update here once it has been addressed.

I have updated to 2.05 and the error message remains … sermon post fails.

Alright, the fix in 2.0.7 should work. Can we just get a confirmation?

Thank you all for your patience.

I updated Sermon Manager to version 2.0.7 and now my website, http://churchofchristwestside.com is toast. I get this error when I login:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /home/content/c/o/c/cocwestside/html/wp-content/plugins/sermon-manager-for-wordpress/includes/CMB2/includes/CMB2_Utils.php on line 318.

It looks like the sermon manager plugin is using an outdated (and modified) version of CMB2. It is highly recommended the bundled CMB2 be updated to the most recent version, and there is no reason not to as CMB2 maintains backward compatibility.
