It’s a shame this plugin has such a negative effect on the loading time of my websites.

Disabling this plugin reduces loading time by 2-3 seconds.

@elr3000 That doesn’t sound right because the plugin loads AddToAny asynchronously (non-blocking) with no server-side impact, and AddToAny typically loads in tens of milliseconds around the world.

The plugin is very well optimized to load fast and never slow down a site.

How did you measure exactly? Did you try with other plugins deactivated?

Well I hate to break it to you, but the fact is that this plugin does slow down my site.

Disabling this plugin reduces loading time by 2-3 seconds.

This is a fact. It’s not open to debate.

To be clear, the plugin itself does not impact loading times like that, and it’s very likely something else on your site is the root cause of slow downs when certain types of plugins are activated.

Disabling this plugin reduces loading time by 2-3 seconds.

That alone isn’t proof that the plugin is slowing down your site. It’s an indication that something is slowing down your site, which is why I ask:

Did you try with other plugins deactivated?

This is key, because other plugins (especially plugins that relate to “optimization” and “performance”) can modify other plugins on-the-fly, which is server intensive and often needs fine-tuning to avoid slowing down your site.

The plugin is in use by over half a million publishers, and no others have reported what you experienced, so it’s probably worth troubleshooting to find the root cause of your site’s slowness when a lightweight plugin like AddToAny is activated.
