• I am trying to setup/prep a series of articles in draft mode. However, the # in series always returns to the last # in the series for all my posts in that series after I save via regular post draft update or via the quick edit.

So for instance, I have 4 articles in my series, all of them are in draft mode, the first one is 1 of 4 but the remaining 3 are all set to 4 or 4. If I edit and change one of the final 3 to be 2 or 3 of 4 then they revert back to 4 of 4 as soon as I save them.

  • We’re seeing this too. I found in the plugin code (orgSeries-taxonomy.php) that the series parts are set for posts that aren’t draft, pending, or future (I guess they get set correctly when the posts are first created, even as a draft). If you then edit a post, its series part number gets set to the count of the posts in the series. I’ve found that if you set the posts to private, the series part numbers work like they used to, and then will be correct when you publish them.

Thanks for posting about this issue (and markrwalker for posting your findings). We’ll look into it and if necessary post a fix in the next release.

I see that this issue still exists in the latest version. Is there any progress or fix upcoming?
