Support » Plugin: Hupso Share Buttons for Twitter, Facebook & Google+ » Seperation of code from "Service Area"

  • The theme I am using has a ‘Service Area’ on the home page that includes about 50 words in each of 3 containers, with a “Read More” button that takes you to the specific page. In the page code, you separate the first 50 words by inserting a <!–more–> in the text. I’d like to use the social buttons at the bottom of the post, but if I insert [huspo_hide] before the <!–more–> code (which I need so it doesn’t show up on the home page in each of the 3 ‘service areas’), the social buttons won’t show up on the bottom of the post, even if I insert [huspo] at the bottom.

Essentially, the [huspo_hide] overrides a call for [huspo] later, after the text that is inserted after the <!–more–> break. Any solution?

What if you disable share buttons in excerpts? That should hide the buttons before the <!–more–> code and still show them at the bottom of the full post.

I just checked with the theme builder, and it looks like I can change some code to make the home page verbiage pull from an excerpt, rather than the post itself. So, it should work this way. I’ll let you know if there are any problems – thanks.
