Our shop sells paper and also books from the British Origami Society – if someone orders books and paper, how can I generate a report which shows sales for one or the other?

  • Hi @nick-robinson,

From what I understand, you want the report of sales by products, right?

You can go to WooCommerce > Reports, and go to Sales by Products tab. Here’s an image of what I mean:

    Ideally by category, including subcategries…

    Hi, @nick-robinson!

You should be able to pull sales by category:

Are you not able to? Am I misunderstanding the issue?

It’s a weird one – I have categories & subcategories. When I do a report by category, I can’t see all the categories listed, some show, with subs, other subs I don’t see under a category, if that makes sense. It’s as if the dropdown list of categories hasn’t been updated?

    Hi @nick-robinson

Only categories that are assigned to products will show. You can confirm which product categories are assigned under Products > Categories. If you still have issues. Try switching back to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce to see if this resolves the issue.

If so, then re-enable each one at a time until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.
