# Separating Categories?

 * On my site I want to display two “Category” widgets. One for “Sports” and one
   for “Other Extracurriculars.” So much as actually getting the headers up was 
   as simple as just dragging and naming two widgets to the displayed sidebar. The
   problem arises in the fact that both “Category” widgets display the same categories.
   Is there a way to separate the categories shown under each widget heading?
 * For example: The heading “Sports” shows the categories “Band,” “Baseball,” etc…
   and the heading “Other Extracurriculars” shows those same categories. Is there
   a way that I can keep the “Sports” heading showing the same categories, but then
   change the “Other Extracurriculars” heading to show categories such as “Drama,”“
   Journalism,” etc…?
 * Any help is appreciated.

 * You can use a plugin that provides a more cusomizable widget to display categories(
   see this [example](http://wordpress.org/plugins/extended-categories-widget/).
   
   In the appropriate widget you can specifiy the categories to display.

 * Of course. You can add two widgets and set different settings and titles using
   the same plugin.
