    Hi,

I am testing the plugin and have the following situation: I have 2 main categories with common (country) and different (services) fields each. Each category will be displayed on different pages (Page for category 1, Page for category 2). On each of these pages, in addition to the listing I would like to also display the search bar, but I do not know how to make the search bar only for that specific category. The [businessdirectory-search] shortcode searches in both, and if I add category name it ignores it [businessdirectory-search category=”Category 1″].
Is it not possible to have a search for a specific category only?

    Thank you!

And I have one more question, not sure if it is ok to post it also here. When I create a listing (a new business), it is created like this: https://website.com/test-listing/business-1/ , and I do not know where the “test-listing” can be changed.

    ______________

UPDATE: Is ok, I found the page and corrected.

    Hi @boloboaca,

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

Our search shortcode doesn’t have “category-specific” settings on it. When you use it, it places the bar on the page as a component, but it doesn’t change the behavior to be specific per the category.

That’s something we can consider for future development, but not something the plugin allows for today.
