Support » Fixing WordPress » separate permalink structures for posts and pages

  • Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to have separate page and post permalink structures within WordPress. Currently, I use %postname% which works exactly like I want it to for my pages. I’d like to have more of a %year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ or even %postname%/%post_id%/ sort of structure for posts. Is there any way to do that currently within WordPress?

    Thanks!

  • And, while we’re on the subject, is there any way to get rid of “categories/” from the categories?

    Anybody got any ideas?

I currently have my install set up with /blog as the base for posts, but I’d like my Page permalinks to be different.

Essentially I’d like my pages to be based out of the site /…. /about, /etc, /etc/etc2.

    Thanks!
