I’m seeing both a login security and a wordfence menu item on one site, in the dashboard lh nav. This is different from my other sites. When I click on login security it says, you have just installed the wordfence login security plugin… But I didn’t install anything separately, and I see the full wordfence menu below it, except for “login security.” I am an admin user, don’t like to share url and permission level in the same place. I don’t see any issues on wordfence, but I did have a wonky login, even though I use password program and 2fa, so it’s impossible to type in anything wrong. No new users, suspicious files changed, etc, etc. If I click on the plugin menu, I just see wordfence security, no separate login security plugin. All versions of everything are current. Can you tell me why I have the two separate menu items in one view on this one site, while others have a different behavior? I also don’t seem to be getting email notifications for this site, and I checked and everything is set correctly there. I know email is hard to troubleshoot, but I have been getting these notifications from other sites that are configured close to identically.

Hi @zignorp, thanks for your question.

I’ve not seen Login Security separate itself from the main Wordfence plugin without the Login Security standalone plugin – although I appreciate you’ve checked for the presence of this already.

Could you take a screenshot of how your menu appears for me? You can include images here on the forums by clicking the “+” in a new paragraph block and selecting “Image“, then Upload once you’ve picked a file from your computer.

Sending us a diagnostic to us at wftest @ wordfence . com directly using the link at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page could help us look for a possible cause.

Afterwards, click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    Thanks,
    Peter.

Thanks, here’s the screenshot, it wouldn’t let me upload, fyi, I uploaded it elsewhere. I am hovering on the wordfence menu item, fyi, so you can see it open. Will send diagnostics soon.

@wfpeter checking back in. I submitted everything, will be gone for a few days starting tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

You can mark this as resolved, I went into the admin and it was deactivated(!) so I activated and updated and it’s behaving as expected now.
