Support » Theme: Catch Box » Separate Header for Mobile?

  • Hi there. I am testing the Catch Box theme and really like it. Out of the box, the mobile view was simple but effective. However, I modified 2 things in the header (using “Theme Options: Custom CSS Styles”) for the web view and this threw off the mobile view.

Here are the 2 things that I did:

1.) I took the site “tagline” and moved it to site title so that it would appear across the page on the web view. However, I liked the look and feel on mobile better when it separates these two lines.

2.) I resized and moved up the search box in custom css with these lines: #branding #searchform { top: 2.0em;} #branding #s { width: 45px;}. This gets it to where i want it on web view but makes the search box on mobile appear directly on top the logo.

So, my question is this: Is there a way to specify a separate header for mobile? Alternatively, how I can make the mobile version appear as it did originally with logo on one line, then site title, then tagline and make the search box on mobile disappear from header?

Many thanks in advance for your help,
    Richard

PS: I have tried to search the support forumn (through your search box and google’s) but am unable to search each post with keywords effectively. I have had to manually search through the numerous pages to look for solutions. Any suggestions for searching the support posts? Again, thanks!

PPS: I tried to submit this question through the catch-box forumn and all seems to go well but the post never appears so I am posting this in the WordPress forum.
