Separate cache or no cache for mobile devices?

Thank you for the great plugin! I have a question regarding the way the caching works:

When I select “Don’t show the cached version for desktop to mobile devices”, will the page for mobile devices be generated every time again, without caching? Or is there a separate cache for mobile devices, doing caching with the same parameters, but for a different content?

I am asking because some pages of my web site are slightly different for mobile devices, but for speed reasons I would still like to cache and gzip them and so on. (So if this is not yet available, this would be a very useful feature.)
