SEO Title not showing in Google snippet (4 posts)

    Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble with the SEO Title I've entered for my front page not showing up in the Google snippet for my website (or in the website's tab). I entered a SEO Title and Meta Description for my front page when I installed Yoast about a week ago. The Meta Description showed up in the Google snippet after a couple days, but the SEO Title has not. Initially I left the "Force rewrite titles" box unchecked, as that is what Yoast suggested. I've since checked the "Force rewrite titles", but it hasn't changed the situation. If you view the source code, you can see the SEO Title in there, but also the site title for my website that I set in WP's General Settings (and which I don't really want to change to the long SEO Title). How can I get the SEO Title to override the original title and show in the Google snippet?

Any advice to fix this would be greatly appreciated!
