• Hi,

I am using SEO Ultimate, and i am experiencing two problems. One, my posts are not appearing within google. (I recently had a DMCA Infringement) so wondering if that has anything to do with it. Secondly, the images on my URL’s are not appearing within Facebook, which is annoying but not as annoying as my first problem!

Hope someone knows a solution, as I have tried using different SEO plugins but to no avail!

    Please help!

  • hello BDrew!
i used to experience the same issues since the beggining of my blog back in the begginning of this year .
all you need to do is to install the #1 best seo plugin yoast :
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/
and then try to fix your site meta and all seo settings with yoast and as you write content , i have a special seo tips for you (exclusive):

      – set the focused keyword , means use a keyword with yoast that will be used on search engines and get a good keyword density (max 5%)
      – everytime you post a new article , go to bing webmaster and google webmaster and do ” fetch as google bot ” and ” fetch as bing bot ”
      – deactivate all other sitemap plugins if you have , and use Yoast sitemap : /sitemap_index.xml
      – concerning images : to me , images are much more than text . i get most of traffic from google images . you need to set the best name for image (rename it ) and set an alt text and a description while uploading on wp .

finally , after doing this , after 2 weeks or less you will be indexed automatically by search engines bots including facebook external hit bot which will be used to give you an image while sharing your links on facebook.

there are so many more tips .. i gave you the ones u need . now be creative and have fun !!

I would say that the issue with the DMCA is why you are now not listed. That said, none of this is a WP issue. Consult those who you desire to be listed with on this.

Thanks or your replies guys, it’s weird as my site has been running for a while now. I’m not being lazy or anything, but is there an actual email address I can contact Google? Or is it just on their support forums too?

it’s not google fault .. you have to work on your content and seo first then google bot will come to your site ( it came to fetch mine since the first time i set it ) and fetch it everytime you create an update ..
you can not get an email of google.. but you can search forums

If you were being listed, then were not, and meanwhile there was a take down notice, then you will need to visit Google (and others) to clear with them the issues,

    For the first issue, see:
    https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/webmasters

    For images in Facebook, see:
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

Again, how Google lists/indexes your site is up to them. Work with their tools.

As for Facebook, your site needs to follow their guidelines, Open Graph.

Neither are WordPress issues as WP does not provide in Core any anything to specifically deal with either. If you are using a Theme or Plugins that do, you should be posting in their specific forum section.
