A few weeks ago, I used a yoast plugin to enhance my website’s SEO. At
that time, I accidentally set all the pages to show in the search
result. Once I found this problem, I decided to hide all the pages in
the search result. After I done the modification, I found there are a
lot of pages that still can be found in the search result. Can I know
how long it will take effect after the changes are made? Besides, I
changed the page’s status to “pending for review” or “draft” but it
still can be found in the search result. Can you tell me what should I
do for now ? Should I wait for it or do something ?

    Hi,

We understand you accidentally set your pages to show in the search results when you didn’t want them to. If you’ve already set the pages to ‘noindex’ with the Yoast SEO plugin, then it might take some time as this depends on when Google will crawl your page again and see the updated information that that particular page shouldn’t be shown in the search results. As for an exact timeframe, we cannot provide this, as it depends on a whole lot of different factors.

Perhaps you can try to explore Google’s removal tool to see if this could be an option as well — https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9689846?hl=en

    ok,thanks!
