SEO: Pages or Portfolio

    Hi,
    we have built our website with Enfold Theme and mainly on portfolio pages which are AJAX-loaded into a page. Within the page I can click on portfolio items which than display the content. The website does not have a page without portfolio items.

    The question arise now where we should finetune our SEO content – done with Yoast.

    – Is it on page level or should it be on portfolio level?
    – Can we ignore one of them? (e.g. portfolio) or are they used mutually?
    – Is there an easy way to test what content of a page is indexed?

    • You should optimize your portfolio post items from the portfolio post level.
    • You can ignore the main portfolio archives page where all of the portfolio post items will appear. However, we still do recommend you to add a clean and meaningful SEO title and meta description.
    • You can see what pages are being indexed by the search engines by performing a search using the site:yoursite.com
