• Hi all
I have built my new website and made it live. I now need to sort out the SEO. I am using Rank Math.

In the Total theme the website’s home page is actually comprised of three WP pages:
    1) The ‘Front Page’ which contains no body text.
    2) Another page which contains the body text seen on the website home page
    3) Another page which contains the short piece of text for the slider drop down text and the image used for the slider.

My question is which one do I ‘optimise’ for SEO?

    Kind regards

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

You need to optimize the page that you have chosen in Settings > Reading for the ”
Your homepage displays” > Static page for Home Page option.

    Thanks

    Hi
When I select as you suggest the home page breaks.
The home page as it appears to the public has been constructed according to hash themes instructions.
The WP ‘page’ that contains the text visible on the website homepage is the ‘About us’ page created under customise – Home Sections – about us.
Is it possible to effectively SEO the websites home page? If so how do I build the home page?
    Thanks

As I use Rank Math for optimisation I asked them how to proceed, this is their reply.

    Hello,
Your theme divides the homepage in several sections, each of them is a page. You should optimize the page selected in settings as ‘homepage’, since it is the one when loaded will display the meta tags you set (like the meta title and meta description).

The problem with the way your theme works is since you have to add the homepage in different pages but you have to optimize the ‘homepage’ (since it is the one to be displayed and the one who loads the others), you won’t be able to get the most from the SEO Score tool, since it won’t read the homepage content from different pages.

Anyway, you could try to optimize all those “sections” for the keyword from the homepage, but you have to be careful to don’t do keyword stuffing (since you will be adding a lot of times your main keyword on several sections).

    Hope it helps.

For the avoidance of doubt the ‘homepage’ has no text – nothing to optimise. The text is on another page.
It seems that optimising a home page composed of multiple WP ‘pages’ is difficult or impossible?
Is their any received wisdom regarding this?
Pretty much everyone has to optimise their website so it must be a common issue.
I have two websites using Total theme, one is pro version, other (this one) is the free version, both have the same problem.
Do any WP themes have a home page that is just one WP ‘page’?
    Regards
