Support » Plugin: MetaSlider » SEO not updated from WP Media

I use several image plugins and so I make SEO changes in the WP Media libary
with the WP interface ( e.g. title ). But when I check it in your plugin, the old SEO value is stil there. When I remove the image from the gallery and re-add it then it’s ok.
But that’s not how it should work I think.

    Hi,

The slides use their own SEO settings for Image Title Text and Image Alt Text.
This can be changed through the ‘SEO’ tab in each slider.

    Hello DNutbourne,

    Okay thank you for explaining.

I think it would be a good idea to have the SEO field “Image Title Text”
filled in from the WP Media Library field “Title”.

Maybe a field “Description” could be added just like in the WP Media Library.

    FYI,

To be more specific. These fields I would like to be added in the plugins SEO options. data-description=”” and title=”” ( if I look at the html-code of a page ).

And to be compatible of course with WP Media Library. Obvious that a
admin of a site can overwrite it in the plugin.

@lordvader Maybe we use the media library as the default only, while the fields on the slides can be used to override that default.

I’m not sure about the SEO fields you mention but maybe we can add a way to let the user add any fields they need.

@dnutbourne I’ll add this to the development list.

    @kbatdorf
I think that would be great to set WP Media Library as the default one.

I’m sure you can pull this off.

I will close this thread as resolved.

    TY.
