[resolved] SEO Metadata for Archive page using Custom Post Type CPT (2 posts)

This is a great plugin but there is something I cannot troubleshoot yet or cannot find how to change. I thought this would be a popular concern but could not find any reference in the support forum.

Basically what I am trying to do is to add metadata to a custom post type archive page. I mean the page that is used to list the posts for a CPT.

For example, if I have a custom post type "presentations" with public = true then I eventually have an archive (?) page to display all the presentations using an url like example.com/presentations but I am unable to assign metadata to *this* page with the loop of presentations inside. I understand this should be answered as something like "how to assign meta data to a custom archive page" but unfortunately there is no so much reference around.

Had anybody had this same trouble?

Ok, seems I finally found a way to troubleshoot it. I needed to scroll down the page SEO -> Titles & Metas -> Post Types until reaching Custom Post Type Archives and then edit the Meta Title and Meta Description for the custom post type.

After submitting the changes, the meta description and title will appear in the custom post type archive as desired.

The results can be seen here: http://slidehunter.com/powerpoint-templates/. Check out the source code to see that meta description and meta title are there.
