SEO Meta Title and Description lenght | WordPress.org

I’ve seen that the lenght of the meta description is the old ~ 300chars.
Google have changed back to around 160/170 chars the lenght.
Is possible to change the value to the old one on he plugin?
There is some settings/value ti change?
I’ve searched back and forth but i was not able to find any paramenter.

Hi there 🙂

Unfortunately, this currently isn’t possible via a filter.

We’re working on this issue for the next update (v3.1), where users can see the changes gracefully: https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/issues/318

N.B. Some pages still show 300 characters (~1820px) in Google, whereas others will be trimmed. This doesn’t directly affect SEO performance; so, I haven’t released a minor patch that alters this.

v3.1 has been released. The values have been updated, and there’s now a filter available. You can find it here:

the other step could be a visual preview of the SERP.
i’ve personally developed a javascript class to preview the 600 pixel version:
