[Resolved] SEO in between head tags not showing up
ive built a couple of sites using WP and use the WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast.
ive asked a web designer friend of mine to have look at my sites and gove me some feed back…
he has told me that “there are no keywords. This is a wordpress site and the Yoast SEO plugin is not inserting the keywords in the head section of the site. Load it in a browser, right click and view the source. anything between the <head> and the </head> is not displayed in the browser. This is where your keywords should be“
i asked him what would the issue be and he said “you need to ask their support people. It is a fault with their plugin or a setting you have not done in WordPress“
if anyone can advise me on what i need to do i would be very greatful
1. The meta keywords tags are hardly used by search engines anymore and having one is – from an SEO perspective – redundant.
2. Having said that, you can turn the meta keywords tag on by checking the appropriate checkbox on the SEO -> Titles and Meta’s page -> General tab.
No fault in the plugin, nor a bug or issue, IMHO I’d categorize this as yet another user being overwhelmed with the options the plugin offers.

If i turn the meta keywords tag on, what will that do and do i need to do anything else once ive turned that on?
It will add the meta keywords tag if you add a keyword template and/or if you add meta keywords to posts/pages.
so what ive already put in the yoast plugin will then start showing in between the head tags? sorry but ive never used this before so am a complete noob thanks
Everything else is already showing. Do a ‘view source’ and you will see. Your friend only commented on the (redundant) meta keywords. That question is answered.
