# SEO friendly URLs plugin?

 * i was thinking about making a plugin that would convert all the urls like [http://exmample.com/p?=3](http://exmample.com/p?=3)
   into [http://example.com/posts/3](http://example.com/posts/3) or [http://example.com/?cat=4](http://example.com/?cat=4)
   into
    [http://example.com/cat/4](http://example.com/cat/4) also making it adjustable
   so users could define there own custom urls like [http://example.com/articles/16](http://example.com/articles/16)
   instead of posts does anybody think this is a good idea? or will this eventually
   be implemented into WP by default?

   already have via Options -> Permalinks.
