SEO Detals: Update your post – score not saving

    Hi.
    Just published new post but still on list of posts in column SEO Details got visible test Update your post.

    I can go to post and what I see that Keyword phrase is not saving and score, even it showing when editing post also not saving. This happen on recently – possibly one of the updates broke something.

    Installed version: 1.0.42.3
    I have downgraded to 1.0.42.2 but no change

    Tried to edit old post but also without luck. Same issue.

    I roll back further to 1.0.42 and is working.
    Then tested 1.0.42.1 and is working well,

    hence the issue stert from 1.0.42.2 and is still in 1.0.42.3

    Interesting is, that after downgrade to 1.0.42 and update to 1.0.42.3 all is working back again.

    I need to go back to it.
    The issue still exists when adding new posts. What I notice, the Focus Keyword is not saved at all (in drafts or even in final posts) and that’s why score is not saved with post, constantly reporting “Update post”.

    Fix required, as downgrading and upgrading is not a solution every time post is updated.

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Yes, it showing that is working with your setup with just 2 other plugins installed. All my plugins and themes are in latest versions and there are no plugin conflicts as you probably checked already as per: ticket

    Done further investigation and found that Wordfence is blocking behaviour in relation to updateMeta (as per) class this in WAF-RULE-233. Its possibly in relation to previously reported vulnerabily and I assume is correct.

    Before whitelisting it (which may cause security issue), can we have a look – can author of the plugin look how to sort this?

    was blocked by firewall for WAF-RULE-233 /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user

    As a temporary solution, as I have static IP that I am using to access my website, I have added my IP into whitelist of Wordfence to bypass rules and result fixing issue. However, this is only temporary fix and require from Rank Math further investigation.

    We are unable to reproduce this on our end with WordFence enabled.

    Can you please turn on the learning mode in WordFence and then edit the post to see if it learns the pattern?

    It’s possible because, if you using free version of wordpress you don’t have this rule yet imported. Free users (like mine) getting the rule with 30 days delay.

    Learning will probably help, but I will stick for now with whitelisting my IP.
