The main thing I was trying to fix was that http pages keep being created and at least some of them seem to be tied to the Yoast plugin. I followed instructions pasted below but get an error message “failed to fetch”.

Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have the screen capture of the console errors that showed up.

    ____________________

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation’, and ‘Reset Internal link counter’ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that each reset was successful. Note: Resetting the optimization doesn’t undo any of the hard work you’ve put into the plugin as the SEO data is also stored in WordPress’ default tables. It’ll just reset the custom Yoast tables that contain the combined data pulled from those default tables.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

    Hello @nb5mgs,

I’m sorry you couldn’t complete the SEO data optimization. Please provide us with screenshots that highlight the console errors.

You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.

Thanks for the screenshot. I know you mentioned you have done the following but please try again:

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations‘, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation‘, and ‘Reset Internal link counter‘ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that the specific reset was successful.
    4. Go to Yoast SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.
    5. When the optimization fails, take a screenshot of the console errors.

Please note that you will be running the optimization from Yoast SEO > Tools and not the first time configuration screen. This is to make the console errors clear

Thanks for the console error screenshot. I see Mixed content warnings, which usually happen when the WordPress URLs are set to HTTP, but the site is set up to load using HTTPS. These errors mean that the browser will block the scripts from running over HTTP. In WordPress > Settings > General, can you confirm that your WordPress & Site URLs match?

Thank you for the fast reply.

    They match.

Since they matched and that wasn’t the cause of the issue, I’m wondering if you have any more suggestions on how to clear this up.

    Thank you.

Mixed content warnings are output by your server as it is setup not to allow the site to load over both versions. Please contact your web host to allow mixed content for your site.

Sorry for the delay, I was traveling for work.

Why would we want to use http and allow mixed content? For security everything is supposed to be https.

It appears that your app is creating those http URLs and we want to have it not do that. Any suggestions?

    Thank you!
