Sensei LMS is only for free courses?

    First of all I must clarify that my English is very poor, I speak Spanish, and sometimes I must use the Google translator to understand them.

    Fernando Tellado started a thread about “Migrate from Sensei 1.12 to Sensei LMS 2.x” and there he asked:

    So, Sensei LMS is only for free courses?

    And Donna Peplinskie (@donnapep), author of the plugin replied:

    Yes, that’s correct.

    There I add a comment:

    So, should not you clarify that limitation in the details of the details? It’s something important, I think …

    And they did not answer me.
    Some time later Dan (@drawmyface) asked me to raise it in a new thread, and here it is.

    If the plugin has that limitation, is not it better to clarify it in its details?

    Please clarify if I am wrong.

    The plugin description states:

    Our WooCommerce Paid Courses extension enables you to sell your courses using the most popular eCommerce platform on the web – WooCommerce.

    This should make it clear that you need the extension to sell courses.

    Excuse me, Dan, but I think that’s not enough to make it clear.

    This is very clear: Sensei is free only for free courses.

    Actually a lot of online courses are paid, I think it would be more transparent if you clarify it well in the description.

    Hi Alex

    For now we’re going to leave it as it is, but we’ll keep this in mind in case we find it’s confusing more people.

    Just to clarify, if you already had a Sensei license, that will now be converted to a WooCommerce Paid Courses license so that you can continue to sell courses.

    If you’re new to Sensei, then there should be no expectation that it lets you sell courses, and the ‘Earn Passive Income’ section explains that you can do that with the extension.
