[Resolved] Sending Emails to Subitters

  • Hi there,

Great plugin! I’m using the free version at the moment.

I am having trouble sending emails out to people submitting forms. I am sending the confirmation email to the administrator’s account (with the correct from email and everything).

We just need to have the email field as part of the form correct? It should just send a confirmation email with whatever message I set in the form settings automatically right? I am wondering if there’s something else I need to enable…

I have used accounts both within and outside the website domain for submission tests. I have even used the same account as the administrator to test it. Again, I just receive the email sent to the account designated as “Email to send submissions to”. But there is no email going to the person who submitted the form.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Dear Jayalakshmi1986,

You should checked the “Send mail to submitter” box in Email field for the user to receive the email.

    Hi webdorado,

    Thank you so much!

I have one more query,I am submitting this email to our support team there while they receiving the email the from address is display the “From Name” which I set on the “Easy WP SMTP v1.0.7” this plugin. for eg: I set as “From name”= “Test” and “From Email Adddress” = “test@xxxxxx.com”

    so it is like

From: Test (but here I need to display what user key on email textbox address)
    To:support@xxxxxxx.com

Is there any way to put “From” information dynamically as what the end users key in their Email id?

Pls help me to solve this issue!

    Thanks!

    Dear Jayalakshmi1986,

If you leave the field “From Email” empty, you will received the emails from the user’s filled in email address.

    Hi webdorado,

I have tried in that way but while submitting getting error.

Err: “Error, email was not sent.”

Pls help me to solve this issue!

    Thanks!

    Dear Jayalakshmi1986,
Could you please give us (to info@web-dorado.com) admin access to your site, by indicating the forum post link in your email subject. We’ll try to fix the problem as soon as possible.

    Hi Webdorado,

Sorry! I don’t have rights to give admin access. If I don’t give the “From name and from email” on “Easy WP SMTP” plugin then I cant send email. For email forms I am using “Form Maker” plugin used contact form Template.

am I missing any setting while using those plugins?

    Please advice!

    Thanks!

    Dear Jayalakshmi1986,

In some cases the servers allow only “from email” addresses with the same domain name. Please check it as it may not work because of restriction from your server settings.

    Hi Webdorado,

    Thanks I will check!
