  • Do you have this setting checked on the form edit page?
“Enable when web host requires “Mail From” strictly tied to domain email account”.

If you do, uncheck it and see if that fixes it.

    if not…
Do you have WP MAIL SMTP plugin installed?

    Have you tried:
    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

You may need to backup your form and send me it in a zip file so I can look at your settings

I am having the same problem in BETA. “Reply To” is not the same as “From”
However, I was also just notified that my theme (Weaver Pro) is having a malware problem. I was notified by Sitelock and was warned not to access the Weaver website. I don’t know if the problem is related.

So, I also do not want to test plugins until my theme is fixed. That will be a ton of work.

I have this unchecked Enable when web host requires “Mail From” strictly tied to domain email account and I do not use the WP MAIL SMTP plugin.

This issue is now resolved in the Beta download.

Fix Bug: Reply-To email header was set to incorrect address.
“Email From” setting renamed to the more accurate “Return-path address”

    Hi Mike,

Sorry, but how do we update the Beta version?
    Deactivate the plugin > Activate???

    Thanks

How to update the Beta with newer Beta code
Since it is still a beta, it is not available for automatic update yet. You have to manually update it.
Download the zip file of the most recent Beta version
    http://www.fastsecurecontactform.com/beta
    Unzip the file you downloaded.
Deactivate, but DO NOT Delete the Fast Secure Contact Form plugin. from the WordPress plugins menu.
FTP connect to your server and navigate to the ‘/wp-content/plugins’ directory.
Delete the ‘si-contact-form’ folder, since this is the old version.
FTP upload the new ‘si-contact-form’ folder from your unzipped download folder to the
    ‘/wp-content/plugins’ directory.
Activate plugin via the Installed Plugins menu in the WordPress Dashboard

I am having a problem activating the plugin.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘/’ in /home4/banteayc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/includes/class-fscf-action.php on line 283

Andrewjmarino, This activate error is also fixed in the current download, sorry for any inconvenience.
Just download again, deactivate the plugin, delete the old folder and upload the new one, activate.

Redownloaded and activated. Seems to be working now. I had a friend send me a test Contact Form.

However, I did send a test Contact Form from my email/computer and still had the same problem. Clicking “reply” goes to the info@visitbanteay.org email.
I don’t know if this is a bug.
But, since I would never use the Contact Form to contact myself I do not think it is a problem.

    Clicking “reply” goes to info@visitbanteaychhmar.org

Clicking “reply” should go to the reply-to address, the gmail one, which is the correct sender of the form. If it does not, something could be wrong with your email client. The headers look correct.

    Mike

If I take the time to look into it, I will let you know.

As long as the “reply” and “send from” are correct for our visitors/customers then I am fine with it.

Looking forward to Beta becoming active on WP plugin updates.
