    Thanks for the great plugin (Import Users from CSV), I just used it to easily import 414 records to my WP site! The file I uploaded did NOT include a “Password” column, so I am relying on the plugin to generate a password for each record.

    Just before starting the import, I did NOT tick (check) either of the boxes in the “Send Mail” section of the page (just above “Start Importing”) because I had not finalized (in the plugin’s admin area “Mail Options” tab) the content of the email I want to send to the uploaded users.

    So I’m wondering: Now that I have uploaded these 414 records, how can I send them my finalized email message, including the password that the plugin generated for each record? THANKS in advance for your help.

    @jimchicago,

    Good morning, import again your users activating the option of sending mails for all of them and they will receive the password inside the mails.

    Kind regards,

    Javier

    I considered doing that . . . thought there might be another way. OK, will do.

    thanks,

    @jimchicago,

    No there is no way because the plugin does not save the credentials in any place for security reasons, so it only can be sent then.

    Thanks!

    OK, I was able to make the plugin’s send-email-to-imported-users function work. Only problem is that the email is “From: WordPress” and when I hover over that part of the email, it says the sender of the email is wordpress@mydomainname.org.

    How can I change what appears (in the recipient’s inbox) as the sender of the email and to the right of “From: ” inside the email itself?

    Also, if I can’t change the “From” address of the email, and the recipient replies to it, their reply will go to wordpress@mydomainname.org. Would I need to create this address in my hosting account in order to access any messages sent to it?

    Use some SMTP plugin to configure all the mail settings like the “From” of each email.

    Thank you for your help. I just installed the WP Mail SMTP plugin, then set the “From Email” and “From Name” fields to what I want, and used its “Email Test” tool to send myself a message.

    The message I received included what I had typed into the “From Email” and “From Name” fields–good to see that.

    So I can assume I will see the same when I send out my email (the one I’ve defined in my Import Users with Meta plugin) as a result of uploading a new .csv to my site?

    @jimchicago,

    Yes it should because this plugin, does not send any mail, it call wp_mail function and it is the one who make the sending.
