Send posts from one WordPress site to another WordPress website

    We have a “Master” WP install for managing posts, categories and tags. This will be private and have no front end. We will also have 2 separate WP sites (for different use cases) which will include the front end.

    We plan to use the Master site to manage everything and we will use Advanced Custom Fields to create a custom field like “Publish to site 1” and/or “Publish to site 2”.

    Depending on what the post author selects, we would send the post data from Master site to site 1 or site 2 and create/update/delete the post, categories and tags.

    Am I correct in assuming the WP API is the best way we could accomplish this? Any examples or tutorials that would be a good starting point?
