Hi! first of all.. great plugin and thanks for this great piece of software.
So like subject, it’s possible to send a form (embedded in Pods Auto Template with relate CF shortcode) to a Pods email field?? Thanks!

Thanks for using Caldera Forms and for the kind words.

It is possible to change the email address for the mailer dynamically using the caldera_forms_mailer filter. See: https://calderaforms.com/doc/caldera_forms_mailer/

If you need help implementing this, please open a support ticket at: https://calderaforms.com/support

@shelob9 I was actually thinking more along the lines of a Query Variable/Parameter to dynamically set the value of the email address field when passing over the form.

Unfortunately, I don’t know how you configure passing Get Query Variables into Caldera Forms (it’s under Advanced, Allow Field to be Populated Dynamically in GF).

from there he could easily call your form embedded on a page with ?email=some@email and populate that field with ’email’

We discussed this a couple of times back and forth on Pods Slack and ultimately, he needs to override the email address to ‘send to’ based on the value of the current post. @pierluigi-abramo is currently calling your form with a shortcode in a Pods Template through Auto Template. I’ve already advised him:

    1) He needs a Hidden Field for ‘Send-to-email’ that needs to be dynamically populated
    2) Find out if there’s a way to pass a variable in the shortcode to the form
    3) Pass that variable by magic tag in the shortcode in his template, ie variables="email=some@email.com" or something of that nature.

Optionally, grab the custom meta value of ’email’ from the post object and make that the default value in the form. I’ve helped all I can from explaining how forms communicate; if you can help with the dynamic variable setting (without using an action hook), that’d be great 😉

Much simpler than we thought.. contact form with an hidden field “Contact Send”, slug obviously it is: “contact_send” that grab with {embed_post:business_email} in value option field (business_email is a Pods email field) then i add a process “Conditional recipient” compiled with %contact_send% finish…That’s All 😉
